New Student Steps to Enroll

Ready to apply to ACC? Getting started is easy at Austin Community College. We have an open admissions policy, and there are no application fees (except for international applicants). It takes just a few steps to enroll. Once you complete these steps, you’re eligible to take credit classes at any of our 11 campuses or online. Applications are accepted year-round. Applying early ensures you’ll be ready when it’s time to register for classes.

Submit Required Documents

Next Steps for Traditional Degree-Seeking Applicants

  • Submit official/unofficial college/university transcripts.
  • Submit test scores or exemptions for the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) and/or other assessments.
    • SAT – If you have taken the SAT within the past five years, contact the College Board to request that your official score report be sent to ACC (College Code – 6759). Request score reports on the Sending SAT Scores page of the College Board website.
    • ACT – If you have taken the ACT within the past five years, contact ACT to request that your official score report be sent to ACC (College Code – 4059). Request score reports on the ACT Test Scores page of the ACT website.
    • TSI taken outside of ACC – If you have taken the TSI Assessment within the past five years at a testing site outside of ACC, but within the state of Texas, complete the Retrieve TSI Scores form.

Apply for Financial Aid

Retrieve Your ACCeID and ACCmail email account

ACCeID

You’ll need your ACCeID to do most tasks at ACC, including logging into MyACC, Blackboard, and other online resources. Retrieve your ACCeID.

ACCmail

ACCmail is the official form of communication at ACC. Your ACCmail account allows you to conduct official ACC business and receive important information about your ACC accounts and classes. ACCmail Activation & Login Assistance.

Step 3: Attend Orientation, Register, and Pay

Get Ready for Registration

To register for classes as a new Riverbat, select the option that applies to you:

  1. I have fewer than 12 college credit hours (no more than three college classes) OR no college experience: 
    • Complete our Online New Student Orientation to get familiar with ACC and our processes. Once completed, you will be given a link to schedule a session with our orientation advisors for any additional support you need.
  2. I have attended ANY college and have 12 OR MORE credit hours:

Important Dates

ACC’s academic calendar has 16-week semesters in the fall and spring and an 11-week semester in summer. Shorter sessions are also offered within each semester to provide students a variety of course lengths and start times. Don’t wait to complete the admission steps! Apply to ACC early so you’ll be ready when key registration dates arrive.
